Throwing a Glitz & Glam New Years Party
New Years to me brings to mind two things: sparkles and my wedding. Timm and I were married on NYE 2016 in a beautiful ballroom in Duluth, MN. It was cold outside but the party was hot! We used a lot of sequins and sparkle in our decor, some of which I reused for my New Years Party this year.
I was jonesing to make an acrylic sign with my Cricut. The NYE frame turned out okay, but it did have some bubbles in it (don’t look too close) - any crafters who can give me tips on how to get these out hit me up! The main display was fun to put together and surprisingly cheap. I found most of the ornaments 50% off after Christmas and the noisemakers were less than $10 on Amazon.
The tablescape was the piz de resistance. Using the tablecloths from our wedding, chargers and as many other glitter decorations I could get me hands on it all came together. You know my motto, more is more. I was most proud of my personalized acrylic place cards.
Of course, no NYE party is complete without champagne. We popped plenty of bottles and danced the night away … literally. I have very little memory of the ball dropping in Times Square because I was too busy busting a move to Pop Hits of the 2000s with my crew. I guess that means it was a good New Years.
